For its Blanko series, Ensemble Phoenix Basel invites experimental musicians from fields such as noise, free improvisation and sound art with a non-academic background to collaborate once a year. For this year's edition at the Kaserne, they are bringing along the young percussionist and improviser Camille Emaille and the Zurich composer, sound artist, theatre musician and improviser Thomas Peter. The two will each conceive and curate one half of the concert. In this case, the ensemble is not "only" realising a musical text, but is directly involved in the composition.
